Bathroom Designs

Bathroom designs date back to the Greeks and Romans who founded and enjoyed communal baths and spas with mineral salts used for its medicinal properties and healing.  Today we’ve incorporated that concept of healing into our bathroom designs.

Healing in the sense that relaxation is the key to our peace and tranquility.  Our bathrooms now offer us this type of oasis where we can unwind from a hectic day and easily slip into a spa-like sensation, soaking in an aromatic, hot bath with soft music and the scented fragrance of flickering candles.

This experience can make you feel almost weightless as spas know all too well.  The combination of the calm, the heat of the water and the candles helps to relax muscles and ease away tensions.  This bliss is achieved throughout the many public spas, but can also be achieved in your bathroom too, no matter how large or small your bathroom is.

First consider your overall design theme like Italian, Japanese, contemporary or nautical.

Choose simple, clean floorplans with soothing colors… cool colors like blues and greens, or warm, inviting colors like golds, reds, orange.

Consider bathroom fixtures in this theme such as tubs, sinks, faucets, light fixtures and flooring like travertine or marble.  Don’t forget to select the right bathroom accessories like mirrors, fabric for your shower curtains, accent rugs, and plush towels.
