Home Accents

Let me ask you, have you walked into a room and just felt very “at home” and comfortable?  Would you like to make your home just like that?  So that every neighbor that walked in would comment time and time again, how comfortable they feel in your space?

Of course you would and it’s simply beautiful design, and it’s what we all want in our spaces.  Perhaps it was the plush accent rug under the dining room table, or maybe the beautiful ceramic vase full of scented flowers on the table.  You’re not sure but all you know is that the room is inviting and comfortable.

Do you want to know the secret?  It really does boil down to decorative home accents and home accessories… It’s like the cherry on the cupcake or the icing on the cake.

Home accents give every room that added flavor or flair and personalizes the room to reflect YOU and your personal style.  Your personal style is achieved through your life’s experiences, your travels, your education and so forth. It could be a picture you took in England or the area rug you purchase in India.  Perhaps it’s the pottery you picked up in Italy.

It’s everything you’ve collected, everything you cherish, proudly displayed on a table, on a shelf or on a pedestal.  Or perhaps it’s just an item you simply shopped for in a home décor store that has all the colors you love.  All these items are home accents that make a house a home.

Select your home accents according to your design and color schemes you have chosen.  Be careful not to have too much in the room… remember “less is more” to avoid clutter in the space.
